Forschung

My main research line is based in the study of global change (as a combination of climate and land use changes) and its affectation on catchment hydrology, soil erosion and sediment transport, fluvial morphodynamics and flooding hazards. All the different state-of-the-art techniques which I have learnt during my research career are actually used for that. My main aim is to generate a new model to evaluate the effects of global change on the scarce water resources and on the hydro-geomorphologic hazards and risks related with river floods over the civil population and infrastructures, as well as to forecast and model the future hydrological, sediment transport and flooding evolution at different areas of the Mediterranean environment based on different likely global change scenarios
