- 1997
- Vordiplom (B.Sc.) in Engineering Geosciences, Technical University Berlin, Department of Applied Geosciences
Research
The focus of my present research is ultra-high pressure (UHP) mineralogy and petrology on natural and synthetic samples; the origin of mineral microstructures occurring in lithosphere fragments that experienced UHP metamorphism; the diffusion of elements in mantle minerals; the formation and evolution of sub-continental lithospheric mantle; the plate mechanisms at colliding continental margins.
Teaching
Microscopic analysis of minerals and rocks
