Research

Provenance study of the Devonian so-called "Old Red" clastic sediments in Moravia (southern Czech Republic) in combination with U-Pb zircon dating and Ar/Ar dating of the Brunovistilian basement near Brno (Brno Batholith). In cooperation with Lukas Krmicek (Brno University of Technology), Ed Sobel (University of Potsdam) and Artur Sobczyk (University of Wroclaw, Poland).

Cooling history of amphibolite-facies rocks, and timing of fault gouge within, the Alpine Fault on South Island, New Zealand. In cooperation with Roland Oberhänsli (University of Potsdam), Virginia Toy (University of Otago) and Horst Zwingmann (University of Kyoto).

Uplift and cooling history of high-grade rocks of the Erzgebirge and surrounding units, in combination with a provenance study of the Carboniferous clastic sediments in the "Erzgebirge Basin". In cooperation with Jochen Rötzler (GFZ Potsdam), Roland Oberhänsli (University of Potsdam), Birgit Gaitsch (TU Bergakademie Freiberg) and Jiri Bek (Academy of Sxciences, Prague).
