Biography
- since 2008
- Research Associate and Lecturer - University of Potsdam (Germany)
- 2007
- Research Assistant - Universitat de Barcelona (Spain), Department of Geochemistry, Petrology and Prospection Geology
- 2003- 2007
- PhD Thesis - Universitat de Barcelona (Spain): "Lower Cretaceous reefal systems of the Maestrat Basin (Eastern Spain): Sedimentological, Palaeontological and Diagenetical models"

Research
In general Sedimentology and Facies analysis of ancient carbonate systems, Palaeocology of reefs and Study of microbial buildups. Current interests focus on Dynamics of Mesozoic and Cenozoic depositional systems from the Tethys and the Mediterranean (Jurassic of Morocco and Spain; Paleogene of Oman; Miocene of Sardinia). Further research centers on 3D outcrop modelling of depositional architectures of carbonate systems.
Teaching
Introduction to Sedimentary Petrology (winter semester) - lectures
Events in Earth History (summer semester) - lectures
Stratigraphy and Regional Geology (winter semester) - lectures and fieldtrip
Advanced Sedimentary Petrology (summer semester) - lectures
Cartography of Sedimentary Rocks (summer semester) - fieldtrip
Modern Carbonate Environments: from microbes to reefs (winter semester) - lectures and fieldtrip
