Research
My principal interests lie in the consequence of the petrological changes onto the geodynamic processes. My approach to this problem ranges from the microscopic scale such as equilibrium between minerals up to large scale (orogen scale), e.g. consequences of metamorphic reactions on orogenic processes, and on the changes of geophysical signal, particularly those that release and consume water. My research activity focuses, until now, on main themes:
Tectono-metamorphic petrology by describing, characterizing and quantifying metamorphic and tectonic processes during the evolution of metamorphic belts (Bousquet et al., 2002; Bousquet, 2008, Bousquet et al., 2008a, 2008b; Berger and Bousquet, 2008).
Quantification of rocks properties under transient conditions according metamorphic and the geodynamic evolution (Bousquet et al., 1997, 2005).
Numerical modeling by investigating the influence of geochemistry, layering and phase transition on the dynamic of frontier regions (Bousquet et al., 1997; Goffé et al., 2003; Arcay et al., 2006, 2007, Wichura et al., 2010)
