The department of Earth and Environmental Science was founded on 1.1.2010 by unifying the institutes of Geosciences and Geoecology. The new institute is an integral part of the Research Focus Area Earth Sciences and Integrated Earth System Analysis.

We present us as a new teaching and research unit of the faculty of Sciences of University Potsdam.

Our aim is research on the system earth based on broad natural sciences and interdisciplinary networks.
