Research interests

I am interested in climate dynamics and paleoceanography during the Cenozoic.
With the use of different climate proxies (recorders of past climate conditions such as temperature) obtained from ocean sediments I reconstruct past climate.

Education

October 2007 – Present
PhD in marine Geology and Paleonthology, University of Potsdam and Alfred-Wegener-Institut for Polar and Marine Research. Supervisors: prof. R. Stein (AWI) and prof G.H. Haug (ETH Zürich and University of Potsdam).

February 2007 – April 200
University of Florida, as part of my MSc thesis.

October 2006 – January 2007
Visiting Assistant in Research at Yale University, as part of my MSc thesis.

July 2006
