Main Research: Applied Geoecology

Together with the deployment of cultural-historical activities of the human being manifold conflicts with its environment have been developed. These do not exist in a spaceless somewhat but are part of the structures and dynamic of landscapes in which people live. Always natural laws act together with economical processes and social phenomena in a complicated tangle of effects. If one wants to make sincere thoughts concerning sustainable strategies and also work successfully on its realization, these structures of condition have to be comprehended in its complexity.

These basic rules are presented by the system teaching on whose basis the work of the research group is based. Problem solving for the reclamation and rehabilitation of geosystems under different physical-geographical conditions are developed. This task requires the investigation, exemplary description and interpretation of its complex substance dynamics. Out of it new perceptions are deducted which serve the further development of theoretical basics and concepts of geoecology.
